Major Peewee Rep A Tournament Rules
Ontario Baseball Association (OBA) Tournament Rules shall apply. Subject to any exceptions as indicated in the following rules.

  1. Tournament is broken into three (3) divisions consisting of four (4) teams in each division.
  2. Each team will play three (3) games against teams in their division.
  3. Standings will be determined by the numbers of points earned (2 for a win, 1 for a tie & 0 for a loss).
  4. Team roster numbers are to be presented to the on-site convener one half (1/2) hour before their first game if possible.
  5. Games to start promptly on time as per schedule. There is a 15-minute grace period on the 1st games played on Friday.
  6. No infield warmups.
  7. All games are a maximum seven (7) innings in length. No new inning to start after one hour forty-five minutes of play (1:45). OBA mercy rule to apply. In the event of a tie during the preliminary rounds only the tie will stand.
  8. All semi-finals and finals will be played until there is a winner declared (no time limit).
  9. In all OBA games an 18 run mercy rule will apply after 3 innings (two & one half if the home team is ahead), a 15 run mercy will apply after 4 innings (three & one half if the home team is ahead), and a 10 run mercy will apply after 5 innings (four & one half if the home team is ahead).
  10. Home field determined before start of the game by a coin toss. Furthest team away makes the call.
  11. The home team is to keep the official score and hand back the game sheet to the Convenor at the end of the game – to signed by both managers or coach.
  12. The visitor team is to keep the official pitch count record and will submit the record with the official game sheet to the Convenor at the end of each game – to be signed by both team managers or coach.
  13. Semi-Finals: The highest seeded team of the 3 divisions will play the Wild Card (g.19), the second and third highest seeded teams will play each other (g.20).
  14. Ties in standings and ties for division winner seedings will be broken by OBA Tiebreaker Rule 7.3; where tie breaking rules are required, the following will be used for each placement independently:
    i. head to head record among tied teams;
    ii. team with the smallest runs against ratio (runs allowed / number of defensive innings played) in games among tied teams;
    iii. team with the smallest runs against ratio (runs allowed / number of defensive innings played) in all games;
    iv. team with the highest runs for ratio (runs scored / number of offensive innings played) in games among tied teams;
    v. team with the highest runs for ratio (runs scored / number of offensive innings played) in all games
    vi. coin toss
  15. The home team for the finals will be the higher seeded team (i.e. division winner). If both teams in the finals are the division winners, or both are 2nd place finishers, then the home team will be decided by a coin flip - team farthest away making the call.
  16. Any player, coach or manager ejected by an umpire from the sanctioned tournament game is suspended for 1 game, and this to be the next scheduled game in that tournament.
  17. The tournament schedule may be revised in case of rain or other delays.
  18. Any protest will be resolved on the field by the Tournament Convenor. There will be no protest of an umpire's judgment call. A cash amount of $50.00 must accompany the protest; refunded if successful with the protest.
  19. Managers and coaches are responsible for the conduct of anyone involved with their team.
  20. Tournament awards will be set at sixteen (16) per team.
  21. Absolutely NO alcoholic beverages are permitted in the park.
  22. Bradford Minor Baseball Association and its officials accept no responsibility for any injuries to anyone in the park during the tournament.
  23. No bat boys/girls unless they are on your roster and must wear helmet and closed toe shoes.
  24. OBA pitching rules will be strictly enforced.
